Michael Jackson's public memorial News

Michael Jackson's funeral

July 6, 2009 - Michael Jackson's public memorial service is scheduled for 10 A.M. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, California and simulcast inside to Nokia Theatre across the street.

17,500 free tickets to the King of Pop's memorial service were made available to the public. Fans wishing to attend Michael Jackson’s memorial service had to register for free tickets.

The opportunity to register for the free Michael Jackson memorail service tickets has ended. Due to the overwhelming demand, tickets were randomly assigned, like a lottery, among those who registered.

Ken Sunshine, a Jackson family spokesperson, told reporters on Tuesday that a public memorial for Michael Jackson will not be held at the King of Pop's beloved Neverland Ranch, as was previously reported.

Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, said that there are no plans to bury Michael Jackson at Neverland Ranch. According to E! News, Michael Jackson's body is being held at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuaries in Los Angeles, California, where it is expected he will be buried at a private family ceremony said to be taking place on Tuesday.

Michael Jackson’s funeral -which religion will prevail?

Was Michael Jackson a Muslim?

Allah knows.

And we are about to find out.

In his will, Michael Jackson expressed a wish for his body to be cremated and sprinkled over the surface of the moon. But cremation is forbidden in Islam, and the parlous state of the singer’s finances now rather precludes the possibility of lunar sprinkling. Star trekking across the universe is the domain of those for whom it is difficult to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
